Dallas Eakins, the former Ducks head coach, is optimistic about his future in the NHL. Despite an uncertain future with the Ducks, Eakins is certain that he will be a better coach the second time around. In a recent interview with The Athletic, Eakins discussed his experiences, lessons learned, and his belief in his abilities.

Eakins' first stint as an NHL head coach was with the Edmonton Oilers from 2013 to 2015. During his time with the Oilers, Eakins faced numerous challenges, including a young and inexperienced team. Despite these challenges, Eakins believes that he gained valuable experience that will benefit him in the future.

After leaving the Oilers, Eakins spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Anaheim Ducks. This experience gave him the opportunity to work with a veteran coach, Randy Carlyle, and to learn from his leadership style. Eakins also gained valuable insights into the Ducks' organization and their approach to player development.

Eakins is now preparing for the next chapter in his coaching career. He is confident in his abilities and believes that he can help a team succeed. He is eager to prove that he has learned from his past experiences and that he is ready to be a successful NHL head coach.
